Is TabTally free?
Yes. Everything you can do today is free: groups, all split types, settlements, receipts, and multi-currency support. If optional paid features are introduced later, core tracking, splitting, and settling will remain free.
Does TabTally move my money?
No. TabTally keeps score — it tracks who paid and who owes. You settle however you already do (DuitNow, bank transfer, cash, a well-timed lunch treat) and tap “mark as paid” to close the loop.
How do settlements work?
TabTally reduces group debts into a smaller set of transfers. Instead of many back-and-forth payments, you might only need one or two to settle. Partial payments are supported.
Can we split unevenly?
Absolutely. Split equally, by exact amounts, by percentages, by shares, or itemize the bill line by line — handy when one person “only had water” and another ordered for the table.
What currencies are supported?
Ringgit is the default, and you can record expenses in over 150 currencies. TabTally uses live exchange rates for conversion when needed.
Do I need an account?
Yes. You need an account to use TabTally.
Is there a mobile app?
TabTally is currently a web app that works well on mobile browsers. You can add it to your home screen for quick access. A dedicated mobile app is on the roadmap.
Can I use TabTally outside Malaysia?
Yes. TabTally works anywhere. It is ringgit-first by default, and you can choose another default currency that suits your group.
Do I need a paid plan to use TabTally?
No. You do not need a paid plan to use TabTally today. If we add optional paid features in the future, we will announce that clearly and keep the core experience free.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete expenses and groups in the app at any time. To delete your entire account and its data, contact us at hello@tabtally.io and we'll take care of it. See our privacy policy for details.
